Eroded sandstone bluffs on wet sandy beach with darker tracings in the sand from the interference in water flow by beach objects
Tidal Traces, etching

Soft ground etching is a technique in which the ground is only temporarily and partially  resistant to the acid. The ground begins to dissolve somewhat erratically as soon as the plate is soaked in the acid bath. It’s always a little bit out of control and unpredictable. I like to use it to create clouds, waves or flowing water such as waterfalls.
