One of my earliest etchings, “Untitled, (Ring Around the Moon)” was inspired in my own side yard.  I was using a solvent to clean a silk screen from another print project, which I needed to do out of doors because I did not yet have appropriate ventilation in my studio.  I happened to glance up at the sky and saw the full moon with rings around it rising through my neighbor’s tree.  It was such a striking image, I began to work on it as an etching almost immediately.
